We were contacted on Thursday morning by an individual who had recently received a refusal of the UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). The refusal cited an alleged period of overstaying during a previous stay in the UK.

The applicant was confident they had never overstayed any period of leave in the UK. Compounding the urgency of the situation, the applicant had a flight booked to the UK in six days’ time.

Given the circumstances, we conducted an immediate and detailed review of the applicant’s immigration history. We worked quickly to gather and organise supporting documentation demonstrating that the applicant had always held valid leave during their previous time in the UK, and that no overstaying had in fact occurred. At the same time, we ensured that all requirements for a Standard Visitor visa were fully addressed and evidenced.

Due to the time-sensitive nature of the case, we secured a Super Priority appointment for the applicant the very next morning (Friday), allowing the application to be submitted without delay. The visitor visa was approved on the following Tuesday morning, enabling the applicant to proceed with their planned travel to the UK as scheduled.
