UK Sole Representative Visa Success Story – Permission to stay in the UK

Significant Change to Future In-Country Visa Applications
March 1, 2024

We have recently been successful in helping our client to secure limited leave to remain under Appendix Representative of an Overseas Business of the Immigration Rules.

The Sole Representative category closed to new main applicants on 11 April 2022, however those that had been granted leave under this route can still apply for limited leave to remain and indefinite leave to remain. To successfully be granted leave to remain under this category, the applicant must have established and registered the branch/subsidiary of the overseas business they represent.

The business must have and intend to continue to have its headquarters and principal place of business outside of the UK. The applicant must also be engaged in full time employment and must supervise the registered branch or wholly owned subsidiary that they have established. They must also show that they are still required by their employer to continue their role.

Our immigration team prepared a successful application for a United States national and his dependents. Our client and his respective family members have been granted permission to stay in the UK under this category.
