Updates to Immigration Health Surcharge Increase

Announced on 16 January 2024, the immigration health surcharge (‘IHS’) is now scheduled to increase on 6 February 2024 from £624.00 per annum for most applicants, to £1,035.00 per annum. Students, Youth Mobility applicants, and children will pay an increased fee of £776.00 per annum, up from £470.00 per annum previously.

Applicants who submit their applications before the date the changes come into effect will continue to be subject to the current rates, but will need to pay the increased rate in the future if making another application.
