It is expected that the immigration health surcharge will increase from £624.00 per annum for adults, and £470.00 per annum for children, Student Visa, and Youth Mobility Visa applicants to £1,035.00 and £776.00 per annum respectively from 16 January 2024.

Those planning on submitting UK immigration applications over the coming months should bear the fee increase in mind, and should consider submitting their application before the proposed implementation date if the increase is of concern.

Certain immigration applicants may be able to apply for a fee waiver in circumstances where they can demonstrate that they cannot afford the fee.
