Securing British Citizenship and a British Passport Against a Tight Travel Deadline

The challenge

Our client contacted us for assistance with establishing their British citizenship by descent and obtaining their first British passport.

The citizenship application presented a particular evidential challenge. Establishing citizenship by descent required the submission of a number of historical documents dating back more than 80 years.

Most importantly, the passport arrived just four days before their scheduled departure to the UK.

This meant that our client was able to travel to the UK as planned and celebrate their grandson’s first birthday with their family.
